Who, What, Why, and Where: The Full Portrait of Our Target Audience (by Geo)

Who, What, Why, and Where: The Full Portrait of Our Target Audience (by Geo)

Let’s start with a quick disclaimer. Globally, our target audience is quite similar in all geos. So don’t act surprised to see the same words in different columns 🙂

But. We’re saying ‘similar’, not ‘the same’. Because this is how it works.

Most probably, you are going to be targeting adults, financially capable, mostly men. But as the practice shows, wide targeting doesn’t always mean cheap/good leads but rather cheap/not-so-good leads. Which is a matter of quality, really. You can change the situation with some cool and high-quality creatives, and our guess is that you’d probably need an experienced designer for that.

Another tip: if you know how to narrow down the audience according to a specific geographical region, the conversion to deposit will improve, significantly.

In this article, we’re going to take a closer look at a few popular geos and give you some stats gathered by our brokers. We’ll be answering questions like these, ‘Where do financially capable Mexicans live? Is it true that truck drivers in New Zealand and Canada make deposits? Where does our youngest target audience live?’
Well, let’s find out.

Canada

Canada is a Tier-1 geo. And the rule of thumb teaches us that the richer the country, the fewer targeting restrictions you’d want to set. In the case of Canada, it is enough to indicate an audience age of 40+.

But to get a nice-looking deposit CR, you might want to filter them by profession:

  • Doctors;
  • Truck drivers;
  • IT;
  • Engineers;
  • Software developers.

Chile

Unfortunately, this geo isn’t as good in terms of money as Canada, so you better narrow down the audience. Most people willing to invest in the “Elon Musk system” are between 40-70 years old. 70% are men; only 30% are women.

It’s a bit complicated to define the best cities&regions, but anyways here’s the list of the locations worth indicating in targeting settings:

  • Santiago;
  • Punta Arenas;
  • Antofagasta;
  • Concepcion;
  • Vina del Mar – Valparaiso;
  • Rancagua;
  • La Serena;
  • Puerto Montt;
  • Las Condes – a district of Santiago.

Pay attention to the following people:

  • Architects;
  • Engineers;
  • Business -men/-women;
  • Importers;
  • Doctors;
  • Business administrators;
  • Developers;
  • Graphic designers;
  • Professors in private schools;
  • Biotechnologists;
  • Accountants;
  • Psychologists and psychiatrists.

Mexico

Mexico is not much different from Chile in its structure and economics, so the similarities these geos share shouldn’t really surprise us. Active deposit contributors are people over 40 years old, with 70% being men and 30% being women.

Most people live in (municipality — state):

  • Iztapalapa – Ciudad de Mexico;
  • Gustavo A. Madero – Ciudad de Mexico;
  • Monterrey – Nuevo Leon;
  • El Carmen – Campeche;
  • Guadalajara – Jalisco;
  • Saltillo – Coahuila;
  • Alvaro Obregon – Ciudad de Mexico;
  • Puebla – Puebla;
  • Tijuana – Baja California;
  • Guadalupe – Nuevo Leon.

And here is the list of professions:

  • Architects;
  • Engineers;
  • Businessmen;
  • Importers;
  • Doctors;
  • Business administrators;
  • Developers;
  • Graphic designers;
  • Professors in private schools;
  • Biotechnologists;
  • Accountants;
  • Psychologists and psychiatrists.

Peru

Moving on with Latin America — and please don’t expect big surprises here. It’s the same audience of 40-70 years old; 70% men and 30% women.

Pay attention to these districts of Lima:

  • San Isidro Sur;
  • Miraflores;
  • Coronel Portillo;
  • La Molina;
  • Santiago de Surco;
  • Barranco.

In Arequipa, it’s (districts):

  • Cayma;
  • Urbanizacion;
  • Challapampa;
  • Cerro Colorado.

And it’s probably worth taking the city of Trujillo into account.

Professionals you might want to target:

  • Architects;
  • Engineers;
  • Businessmen;
  • Importers;
  • Doctors;
  • Business administrators;
  • Developers;
  • Graphic designers;
  • Professors in private schools;
  • Biotechnologists;
  • Accountants;
  • Psychologists and psychiatrists.

Ecuador

The audience is identical. 40-70 years old, 70% men and 30% women. The best cities for targeting are

  • Quito;
  • Guayaquil;
  • Samborondon;
  • Cuenca;
  • Ambato.

Who to target (no surprise, huh?)

  • Architects;
  • Engineers;
  • Businessmen;
  • Importers;
  • Doctors;
  • Business Administrators;
  • Developers;
  • Graphic designers;
  • Professors in private schools;
  • Biotechnologists;
  • Accountants;
  • Psychologists and psychiatrists.

    Panama

    Tale as old as time. 40-70 years old, 70% men and 30% women. Mostly, they’re the residents of the capital, the city of Panama, who make deposits.

    You can target areas from the list below:

    • Costa del Este;
    • Punta Pacifica;
    • Santa Maria;
    • San Francisco;
    • Colon.

    The target audience for crypto works in the same fields as the audience from neighboring LATAM countries:

    • Architects;
    • Engineers;
    • Businessmen;
    • Importers;
    • Doctors;
    • Business administrators;
    • Developers;
    • Graphic designers;
    • Professors in private schools;
    • Biotechnologists;
    • Accountants;
    • Psychologists and psychiatrists.

    New Zealand

    Finally, we can step away from Latin America and move just a bit closer to the expensive Tier-1 geos. And we start noticing some differences here.

    The target audience here is between 40-85 years old; no gender preferences. Both men and women are ready to make deposits. Expect the highest conversion rate in these cities:

    • Auckland;
    • Whangarei;
    • Lower Hutt;
    • Christchurch;
    • Hamilton.

    According to brokers, deposits are most often made by representatives of these professions:

    • Engineers in the banking sector;
    • Technical engineers;
    • Self-employed;
    • Truck drivers;
    • University professors;
    • Employed in agriculture;
    • Psychologists;
    • Business managers;
    • Doctors;
    • Builders.

    United Kingdom

    Everyone is making deposits here regardless of their gender. The best age though is between 40-80 years old. Try targeting these cities:

    • Birmingham;
    • London;
    • Cambridgeshire;
    • Winchester;
    • Molesey;
    • Keighley.

    And for professions, it’s a bit different from what we’ve seen before:

    • Banker;
    • Coke;
    • Clerk;
    • Project manager;
    • Manager;
    • Freelancer;
    • Doctor;
    • Engineer;
    • Business -man/-woman.

    Poland

    Not as wealthy a country as Canada, the UK, or New Zealand, but still holds a fair amount of purchasing power. And by the way, this is the geo with the youngest target audience we’ve announced before. Promising conversion rates among people from 30 to 70 years old; both genders.

    Your target audience most probably lives in one (or all) of these cities:

    • Warsaw;
    • Krakow;
    • Lodz;
    • Wroclaw;
    • Poznan;
    • Gdansk;
    • Szczecin;
    • Bydgoszcz;
    • Lublin;
    • Bialystok.

    In terms of professions, it is difficult to sort them out. Deposits are usually made by people who work legally and receive a monthly salary of 4,000 zlotys.

    Argentina

    Missed the good old LATAM? Here it comes, last but not least. Why? Because crypto offers are currently at the peak of their popularity there.

    Argentina is a fairly well-off country considering the region. Both men and women, 35 and over make deposits.

    There is no list of the most popular professions among clients, but we can tell you the cities we get the most deposits from

    • Buenos Aires;
    • Mar del Plata;
    • San Miguel de Tucumán;
    • Rosario;
    • La Plata;
    • Santa Fe;
    • Salta;
    • Córdoba;
    • Corrientes.

    Let’s sum it up.

    The richer the country, the fewer targeting settings you need to introduce; the less gender and age affect it, and the more important it is to work on your creatives.

    In this material, we’ve provided data gathered by our brokers so that you can clearly see who’s your potential lead depending on the geo. How old he is, what gender he (or she!) is, where he lives and what he does for a living.

    Which, combined, turns out to be a lot of details.

    And you already know their pains and needs full well — and seem to be going a great job with all those creatives and pre-landing pages.

    By the way, some time ago we did a full comparison of the most popular types of pre-lending pages: celebrities, success stories, and quizzes. Worth checking out. Just saying.
